Monday, Mar 21, 2022
Brother Bernard Kiley celebrated 40 years as a Catenian. Bernard joined Chorley Circle in January, 1982, and has been a dedicated Catenian ever since, supported by his wife, Carole, until she passed away in 2019. He has held several Offices in the Circle serving as President 3 times, Provincial Councillor, Charity Officer, and Secretary; he has also been President of Province 10. Born in Kingston, Bernard spent his working life as an accountant, starting in the City of London, then working for various companies, and moving to Chorley in 1973. He is a staunch football supporter, his first love being Chelsea FC, but, each year, he does purchase a season ticket for Bolton Wanderers, and tries to attend every home game at the Macron Stadium. Mark Conroy, Director of Province 10, presented Bernard with his 40-years scroll at a celebratory dinner attended by about 40 Brothers and ladies.
